Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Stroke (NP/PA) Renton, WA | Direct Hire

Position overview

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative Neurology/Stroke team providing inpatient and ED-based stroke care at a community hospital in the Renton, WA area. This role focuses on rapid assessment, acute stroke management, and ongoing inpatient follow up in partnership with stroke neurologists and the interdisciplinary team.​

Key responsibilities

·    Perform stroke-focused history and physicals, order and interpret diagnostics, and assist with acute treatment decisions under established protocols.​

·         Manage daily inpatient rounding, documentation, and care coordination with Neurology, ED, ICU, rehab, nursing, and case management.​

·         Participate in stroke alerts, quality initiatives, and evidence-based protocol implementation to support stroke program metrics and certification.​

Qualifications

·         Licensed or license-eligible NP or PA in Washington State; national board certification required.​

·         Prior neurology, stroke, or acute care experience strongly preferred; new grads with relevant rotations may be considered.​

·         BLS and ACLS required; strong teamwork, communication, and comfort in a fast-paced acute setting.​

Schedule and compensation

Full-time, hospital-based role with a combination of days and possible weekends; specific schedule to be discussed with the hiring team.​
