Crouses Nurse Practitioner (NP) team is a multi-disciplinary group of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) that provide care to patients through various services including:
- Anesthesia
- Pre-admission testing
- Cardiology
- Diabetes
- Gastroenterology
- General surgery
- Hospitalist
- Nephrology
- Neurosciences
- Orthopedics
- Palliative medicine
In collaboration with an attending physician, the APP team is hiring an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner.
Pay: $55.00 - $69.00 Hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will practice in collaboration with Orthopedic surgeons as direct healthcare providers. Responsibilities include working with patients and families to coordinate the delivery of care throughout the hospitalization. This is done by assessing, diagnosing, treating, educating, and consulting through regular and/or crisis intervention.
The Orthopedic NP is responsible for completing:
- Admissions
- Discharges
- Inpatient Consultations
- Addressing floor calls for the Orthopedic service
Procedural duties include but are not limited to:
- Fracture and dislocation management
- Aspiration and injections
- Wound care management
Job Requirements
- Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Current New York State License as an Adult Family Nurse Practitioner or Specialty area.
- Minimum of two (2) years RN experience in critical care nursing.
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing or its direct equivalent preferred.
- ACLS certification required.
