Summary:
The APP will evaluate and manage new and return patients with a broad range of general otolaryngologic conditions, including disorders of the ears, nose, throat, and sinuses. The position will require weekly on-site clinic work. The APP functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary care team and collaborates effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals within the organization and with external partners as appropriate. Success in this role requires excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
The position requires advanced clinical assessment and decision-making abilities, strong critical thinking and self-directed learning skills, an understanding of evidence-based practice and research principles, and the ability to provide leadership that promotes high-quality, patient-centered care. The APP is expected to practice at the full scope of licensure while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and optimizing access to care and care delivery across the clinical setting.
Prior experience in otolaryngology (ENT) is preferred. The APP demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership skills and uses clinical and academic skills in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with otolaryngologic conditions.
