Position Summary:
A Nurse Practitioner provides patient care services by independently and interdependently scheduling, supervising, and/or conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; independently participates in the delivery of direct patient care within the scope of authority granted by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and following the AHL protocols and standards.
Under the direction of the VP of Medical Affairs and VP of Operations, the Nurse Practitioner assumes the responsibility of routine exams. Utilizes skills in providing diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems along with providing care focused on health risk factor reduction. Ensures efficient and effective patient care through collaborative planning and problem solving with center staff.
