Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking to hire a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our inpatient cardiology service. This position involves overnight shifts ranging from 10 to 14 hours, including rotating weekends and holidays. We offer flexible hours to ensure consistent coverage while maintaining our high standard of patient care.

This is an inpatient only position covering cardiology service patients, answering pages, and seeing routine and urgent cardiac consults.  The right candidate would be comfortable working independently and autonomously in the acute hospital setting while also working collaboratively with the primary care team. There will be a cardiologist on call for urgent matters. NPs or PAs with a strong knowledge in cardiology and/or critical care is a plus. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of hospitalized cardiology patients
• Perform admissions, consultations, follow-ups, and discharges
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Assist with management of patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, ACS, and other cardiac conditions
• Coordinate care with cardiologists, hospitalists, nursing, and other clinical services
• Respond to urgent clinical issues during evening and overnight hours

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current NYS PA or NP license in good standing
• Board Certification and BLS/ACLS are required

Compensation:

• $ 150,000-$ 170,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
