Qualifications:

·         Master’sdegreeinnursing

·         ActiveNursePractitioner(NP)licenseintheCommonwealthofVirginia

·         NationalBoard CertificationasaFamily NursePractitioner (FNP)throughAANPor AANC.

·         Activeand unrestricted DEAlicensewithbuprenorphine/MATprescribingauthority(or willingness to obtain).

·         Experiencedeliveringprimarycareservices.

·         ExperienceinMedication-AssistedTreatment(MAT)orwillingnesstoreceivetraining.

·         CurrentCPR/BLScertification.

·         Abilitytoworkindependentlyandcollaborativelywithinamultidisciplinaryteam.

·         Strongclinical,assessment,documentation,andcommunicationskills.

KeyResponsibilities:

·         Conductcomprehensiveassessmentsofpatientswithsubstanceusedisorder·         Developand implement individualized treatmentplansthatincludemedication-assisted treatment

·         Prescribeand managemedicationsforsubstanceusedisordersinaccordancewith established protocols

·         Monitorpatientprogress,includingmedicationadherenceandresponsetotreatment

·         Delivercomprehensiveprimarycareservicestopatients,includingpreventivemedicine and management of acute and chronic conditions

·         Educateandcounselpatientson preventionstrategies andtreatmentadherence

·         Collaborate withlicensed counselors and support staff toensurecoordinated and integrated care

·         Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentationintheelectronichealthrecord(EHR)

·         Remain uptodatewithbest practicesand guidelinesinaddictionmedicineand primary care

·         Performalldutiesinaprofessional and competentmanner,utilizing clinical expertise and sound medical judgment in patient care.

·         Clinicaldecisionsshall be madeinaccordancewiththenursepractitioner'sbest medical judgment.

·         The MedicalDirector orSupervising Physicianreserves theauthoritytodesignate patients for evaluation by the nurse practitioner.

·         Adhere to all established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the Medical Director, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
