Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care

Duration: 12-Week Contract (Potential Extension)
Schedule: Full-time
Setting: Primary Care / Family Medicine / Urgent Care

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with recent Primary Care or Urgent Care experience to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical care team to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions while promoting preventive healthcare and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary and family healthcare services.
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage chronic disease conditions and preventive care.
  • Conduct routine physical examinations and health screenings.
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Perform clinic administrative duties including:
    • Opening and closing the clinic
    • Inventory management
    • Insurance verification
    • Patient follow-up
    • Payment collection
    • Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.
  • Current National Board Certification.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measures.
  • Ability to practice independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure if required.

Required Certifications

  • Active State Nurse Practitioner License
  • BLS Certification (AHA or ARC only)
  • DEA Registration (may be required during onboarding)
