Nurse Practitioner
Position Type: Full-Time / Exempt Reports To: Controller/Physician Leadership
Good-Faith Salary Range: $115,000 to $140,000 per year (approximately $55.29 to $67.31 per hour based on 2,080 hours per year). This range represents the minimum and maximum salary Commonwealth Kidney Doctors has set in good faith for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation within the range will be based on job-related factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, licensure, certification, and business needs.
Summary
The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice provider position responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in dialysis unit and outpatient office settings for Commonwealth Kidney Doctors. This position supports chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease management through patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, care coordination, and timely clinical documentation. The Nurse Practitioner works closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams and is expected to maintain strong clinical judgment, professional communication, dependable follow-through, and compliance with applicable licensure, credentialing, payer, federal, state, and practice requirements.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This position performs work in outpatient medical office and dialysis unit environments. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, move about office and clinical areas, travel between assigned practice and dialysis locations, and alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday. The role requires the ability to operate standard office and clinical technology, including computers, phones, printers, scanners, and electronic medical record systems. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing with patients, families, providers, staff, vendors, and outside healthcare organizations.
The employee may occasionally need to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, and lift or carry office supplies, files, paper, or clinical materials typically weighing up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The position may involve exposure to patients with acute or chronic illness and requires compliance with infection control, PPE, safety, HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable practice requirements. Specific physical requirements may vary slightly based on business and operational needs.
