Position Summary
Penda Aiken inc. is a staffing firm located in Brooklyn New York. Our client is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential healthcare services at a regional correctional facility in Rome, NY. In this role, you will deliver high-quality chronic and emergency clinical care to a population of 1,000+ incarcerated individuals.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Care & Triage: Provide ongoing chronic care management and rapid emergency medical response to a facility population of 1,000+ individuals.
Clinical Assessments: Conduct routine healthcare screenings, triage patient complaints, and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols.
Emergency Response: Deliver critical emergency care, basic life support, and stabilization when acute medical situations arise.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise, timely medical records and adhere strictly to healthcare privacy and correctional facility security standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Licensure: Active and unencumbered New York State license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
Specialty Certification: Certification by the New York State Education Department in a specialty area to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Clinical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in emergency care, chronic disease management, and triage assessments.
