Corewell Health is in search of 3 locum tenens to work at the following locations: Royal Oak Hospital , Troy Hospital and Dearborn Hospital. Provider must be willing to get privileged at all three locations and have the flexibility to work at all three as needed. We are looking for a provider to start as early as 06/08/2026 ongoing.

Reason for Coverage / Duration / Shifts: Looking for candidates who can be privileged at all 3 locations - ideally 2 full time locums, pending a third locum approval.

Support Staff (MDs / APPs): 4 APPs onsite | 2 surgeons -> APPs will go down to 3 effective June 11th
Number of Beds in Unit: see below-
Royal- cardiac surgery: 20  | 5 surgeons | ORs: 3
Dearborn – Cardiac surgery: 10 – split services | 2 surgeons | ORs: 2
Troy – cardiac surgery: 16 in ICU | ORs: 2
Surgeries/Procedures Required: max: 30, min: 20 | 3-4 avg per week at Dearborn, Troy 6-8, Royal Oak: 10-15
Dearborn: 90% CABG, 10% valve cases
Troy: 80% CABG, 20% valve cases
Royal: 70% CABG, 10% valve, 10% robotic complex aortic procedures
APPs are assisting in OR procedures only. 
Involvement in the OR: First assisting
bonus: arterial line placement exp*
preferred skillsets: vein harvesting, radial artery exp
Trauma Level of Facility: Royal - level 1, Dearborn -level 2 Troy - level 2
Required Skills / Years of Experience: 2yrs exp minimum but prefers 5+, also required to be precepting/training at times for new hires.
