Position Summary
Penda Aiken Inc. is a staffing firm located in Brooklyn, New York. Our client is a New York State Agency and is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their team. They are seeking a qualified Family Health Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care services to youth in accordance with regulatory standards in a juvenile correctional setting.

The role is located 16 miles south of Rochester, NY. The facility features secure and limited-secure settings serving male adjudicated juvenile delinquents placed by the Family Court. Supervision staff will always be present when the employee is providing nursing care to the youth.
Primary Responsibilities

• 
  Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Assess patient needs, formulate diagnoses, and evaluate health conditions through comprehensive interviews, medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
  
• 
  Treatment Formulation: Prescribe treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests in collaboration with a licensed physician or physicians, in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols.

  Therapeutic Measures: Perform necessary therapeutic and corrective measures within agreed-upon specialty areas defined by the physician of record.
  
• 
  Consultation Support: Provide after-hours and weekend telephone consultation for urgent health situations.
  
• 
  Patient Care Oversight: Perform other duties as deemed necessary for the standard of patient care and regulatory compliance within the facility.
  

Schedule & Facility Overview

• 
  Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
  
• 
  Environment: Industry Secure Center is accredited by the American Correctional Association with a current population of approximately 44 youth. Youth may remain in custody until the age of 21 depending upon their sentence.
  
• 
  Logistics: Free parking is available on-site. Currently, there are no vaccine requirements.
  
• 
  Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 
  Licensure: Current Licensure as a Family Health Nurse Practitioner in New York State. Candidate must maintain a valid, current New York State license and registration.
  
• 
  Clinical Experience: Candidate MUST have completed a minimum of 3,500 hours of professional collaboration.
  
• 
  Documentation Requirement: Your resume MUST explicitly document how you have met the required 3,500 hours of collaboration in order to qualify for this position.
