Nurse Practitioner

Michiana Gastroenterology, Inc is a local leader in diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. As a nurse practitioner, you play a direct role in diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hepatitis B and C, pancreatitis, gallbladder disorders, cirrhosis, fatty liver and many other GI disorders.

Requirements:

• Must be a good communicator and work well with others
• Must be able to work office hours: 8 am to 5 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8 am to 1:30 pm Wednesday and Friday
• Graduate of a nurse practitioner program and certified by one of the national certifying organizations

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient's needs and determine appropriate medications and/or treatments for medical conditions
• Maintain patient charts and documentation in accordance with all state and federal regulations
• Coordinate services with medical professionals regarding individual needs of patients
• Any other duties as assigned
• Some travel may be required to our other sites
