The Registered Professional Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care by assessing patient needs, identifying actual and potential health concerns, implementing appropriate nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Assesses patients and identifies actual and potential health concerns.
Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing interventions and plans of care.
Involves patients, families, and significant others in assessment, planning, care, and evaluation whenever possible.
Supervises and directs care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
Assigns and delegates patient care to qualified members of the healthcare team.
Coordinates patient care with other healthcare professionals and disciplines.
Participates in unit-based activities that promote a positive and professional work environment.
Provides compassionate, accountable nursing care focused on patient advocacy, collaboration, and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
BSN preferred at time of hire
Nurses hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within three (3) years of hire
Professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire
Nurses hired without a professional nursing board certification must obtain certification after two (2) years of hire, or once eligible for certifications requiring more than two years of experience
Licensure & Certification
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
Motor Vehicle Requirement
This position does not require operating a vehicle for assigned business purposes
