Duties:- Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers.- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history.- Assist with procedures such as tube feedings, wound care, and dialysis.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques.- Utilize electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) to document patient information accurately.
Skills:- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.- Ability to assess patient conditions and make critical decisions in emergency situations (such as in the ER).- Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.- Attention to detail in documenting patient information, including ICD-9 codes for accurate billing.- Experience in specialized areas such as ophthalmology or ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
