The Camphill School is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Nurse (Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In this position, you will provide direct care to our students and resident staff in a clinic setting under the supervision of a Physician. You will also ensure complete and up-to-date records for students and staff, compliance with various policies and regulations. The Nurse works in direct collaboration with medical staff and communicates with the team and other office groups as needed.

The Nurse is able to collaborate well with the medical team, teachers, parents and therapists, and provides direct care to students with developmental disabilities as well as resident volunteers.
Responsibilities:
· Work cooperatively with School Physician, office Coordinator and medical team to care for day and boarding students and resident staff.
· Provide direct care including vital signs monitoring, wound care, and administering medications as prescribed.
· Monitor students' health, document and report changes to the medical team, supervisors and parents.
· Prepared to handle medical emergencies in the school setting, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services.
· Communicating with students, parents, school staff and healthcare providers regarding health concerns, providing education and support.
· Maintaining accurate and complete records of student health information, including medication administration, health assessments, and emergency interventions.
· MARS -Update as new RX come in, print monthly for boarding houses (main campus/Transition Program campus). Communicate medication changes with boarding houses and teachers
Qualifications:
· LPN Certification OR Valid R.N. License (provide a copy)- Ideally, possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
· Experience working with developmentally disabled children preferred
· Experience in educational or home care settings preferred
· Knowledge of DHS policies and regulations
· BLS / ALS / First Aid Certified
Job Type: Full-time. 30-35 hours per week (Monday - Friday); off for school vacations
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
