    Job Summary

    The Nurse (RN or LPN) is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care or senior living environment. This role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure optimal resident outcomes. The Nurse plays a key role in promoting resident well-being, safety, and quality of life while delivering patient-centered care.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide professional nursing care and support to residents in accordance with established care plans and clinical standards.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed by physicians.
    • Monitor residents for changes in health status and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
    • Communicate significant changes in resident conditions to physicians, supervisors, and family members.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medication administration and charting systems.
    • Manage medication inventories, supplies, and medical equipment in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, ordering, and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement resident care plans.
    • Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
    • Provide compassionate support and education to residents and their families.
    • Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident care needs.
    • Maintain compliance with nursing regulations, facility policies, and quality standards.
    • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
    • Perform additional nursing and resident care duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements / Skills

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
    • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and resident care procedures.
    • Ability to assess resident conditions and respond appropriately to healthcare needs.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
    • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
    • Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
    • Basic computer skills for electronic charting and medication administration systems.
    • CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
