Float Registered Nurse – School Health
 

Meda Health is seeking Registered Nurses to provide care across multiple school locations and support students with one-on-one nursing needs.
 

Position Details

• Float between school locations based on daily needs
• Support school nurse clinics and one-on-one student assignments
• Work 7.5 to 8.5 hours per day
• Work on student attendance and professional learning days
• Complete setting-specific training before working independently

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions
• Assess illnesses and provide urgent first aid
• Follow individualized student care plans
• Conduct student health screenings
• Document all care in the student information system
• Provide specialized care, including:
  • G-tube care
  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Oral suctioning
  • Ventilator management
  • Ostomy care
  • Straight catheterization
  • Seizure management

Requirements

• Current Kansas RN license
• Current BLS certification
• At least one year of acute care or comparable experience
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Ability to travel between assigned school locations
