Nurse Staffing Scheduler

Position Summary:

A Scheduler maintains nursing department schedules and in-servicing while tracking budgeted hours.

Position Responsibilities for Nurse Staffing Scheduler

• Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements
• Monitor nursing department hours daily
• Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues
• Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing
• Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA
• Assist in ordering medical supplies and maintain proper inventories for resident use
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills recommended. Customer service skills required.
