Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor (Assistant Director of Nursing) provides leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight to nursing staff within a healthcare setting. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and supports clinical operations, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee daily clinical operations and staffing to maintain efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for nursing teams.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Assist in staff education, training programs, and competency development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational planning.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
Education & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Nursing + 5 years of nursing experience (including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role), OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing + 6 years of nursing experience (including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role)
