Position: Nurse Supervisor/Assistant DON – Med/Surg

Shift: Days | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule: 5 x 7.5-Hour Shifts | 37.5 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $90-$95/hr.

Assignment Details

• Supervise Med/Surg nursing staff and oversee daily unit operations.

• Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance.

• Monitor patient care quality and staff performance in collaboration with Nurse Managers.

• Communicate performance concerns and assist with corrective action plans.

• Develop and maintain record-keeping systems for medication errors and employee counseling.

• Support quality improvement and compliance initiatives within the Med/Surg unit.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required.

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory nursing experience required.

• Med/Surg leadership or supervisory experience required.

Required Skills: Patient Care, Employee Performance, Performance Monitoring, Corrective Action, Record Keeping Systems, Medication Error Tracking, Team Leadership, Quality Improvement.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.

• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License.

• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED required.

• AHA BLS required.

Languages
