Position Summary
The Nurse Supervisor will help lead a growing team of 21 Outpatient Nurse Coordinators who support General Cardiologists, Cardiology Nurse Practitioners, and a wide range of cardiology subspecialties, including Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Cardio-Oncology, Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM), Interventional Cardiology, and Marfan Syndrome. Reporting in partnership with the Nurse Manager, this leadership role combines both management and clinical responsibilities. The Nurse Supervisor will provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Nurse Coordinator team, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing work environment focused on exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities include performance management, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the professional growth and development of team members. The Nurse Supervisor will also assist with staffing-related functions, including PTO approval, timecard management, scheduling oversight, and ensuring appropriate departmental coverage. Serving as a primary resource for daily operational questions and issue resolution, this individual will help support team success while coordinating the onboarding, orientation, and integration of new Nurse Coordinators. The role plays a vital part in maintaining departmental standards, promoting consistency, and ensuring a smooth transition for new team members.
Schedule: Monday through Friday with typical hours of approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
No weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities.
Potential hybrid work arrangement, providing a blend of onsite and remote work based on operational needs and supervisory approval.
This role may aid in clinical coverage across multiple outpatient cardiology locations, including the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM), CAM South County, West County, ACB (Wohl/West Building), the future Sunset Hills location, and potential future expansion into the Belleville, Illinois area.

Salary Range
$74,200.00 - $133,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
