Description of Work
The Nurse Supervisor performs supervisory functions for a Division or specialty nursing unit, providing oversight of all aspects of nursing services rendered to physically and mentally disabled persons to foster optimal health and is responsible for quality assurance audits, continuously monitoring the care provided on all shifts, identifying nursing training needs and developing approaches to solving problems, and communicates closely with the Division Director and Home Manager/QDDP’s in each home and with supervisors in other departments as the need arises, and may serve on task forces and committees as requested. Oversees implementation of established policies/procedures, ICF/IID Regulations, medical/nursing policies and procedures and the NC Nurse Practice Act to provide high quality nursing care for individuals, and exercises a high level of independent clinical decision making. Provides training and mentoring functions for their individual area of assignment, reviews work of assigned staff, and provides input to the Director of Nursing or a higher level Nurse Supervisor for development of policy and procedures. Assists in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems and employee relations issues, and perform limited budgetary functions.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $77,076.00 - $127,175.00

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Physical requirements for this position include passing CPR and CPI.
Must have the ability to respond to emergencies.
*A Sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.
*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus
To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.

Minimum Education and Experience

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and three years of nursing experience, including one year of experience in a Nurse Supervisor capacity.
