Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Encinitas, CA

 

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to support daily operations across perioperative patient care services. This leadership role combines clinical oversight with staff management responsibilities and is ideal for an RN who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational support for perioperative nursing teams

  • Assist with daily staffing coordination and schedule management

  • Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of nursing staff

  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and employee performance evaluations

  • Monitor department workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care

  • Promote compliance with clinical standards, policies, and patient safety initiatives

  • Collaborate with leadership to support departmental planning and operational goals

  • Coordinate patient transitions throughout the surgical care continuum

  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff and assist with complex patient care situations as needed

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and staff engagement efforts

 

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

  • Previous clinical nursing experience required

  • Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred

  • Experience in perioperative, procedural, critical care, or recovery settings preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and team development skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of patient care
