Description

A health services organization in New York is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their residential treatment facility in Sullivan County as a Nurse Supervisor.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8am to 4pm
  • Setting: Residential Treatment

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing and medical support staff and coordinate daily staffing coverage
  • Oversee client medical care and support timely, appropriate clinical services
  • Provide orientation, training, and competency evaluation for nursing and support staff
  • Manage medication administration, controlled substance inventory, and methadone-related processes in accordance with program procedures
  • Support clinical documentation, regulatory reporting, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of Nursing Supervisory experience, including at least 3 years in a Hospital, Substance Use, or other Behavioral Health setting

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • Working knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing Substance Use Treatment programs
  • Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing substance use treatment programs

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with methadone regulations and administration
  • Background in substance use, addiction, detox, or mental health care
  • Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic populations
