Job Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in managing clinical operations for a 168-bed long-term care facility. This overnight position oversees four units with a mix of long-term, short-term, and dementia care residents. The Nurse Supervisor ensures high standards of patient care and compliance while coordinating assessments, admissions, ER transfers, and interdisciplinary collaboration with medical providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise nursing staff and care delivery across four units during the 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shift
Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and manage admission protocols
Facilitate ER transfers in collaboration with medical providers
Conduct second checks on physician orders and admissions
Ensure accurate documentation using PointClickCare E-MAR
Maintain compliance with NYS nursing standards and BLS protocols
Oversee care plans for a resident mix, including long-term, short-term rehab, and dementia care
Monitor unit acuity levels and adjust staffing/resources accordingly
Provide hands-on clinical guidance and performance supervision
Required Experience:
