Nursery Production-Assistant Grower Internship

Gertens Family of Businesses offers an exciting hands-on internship with our Nursery Production team! Get ready to dig in, learn practical horticulture skills, and work alongside industry professionals.

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN

Duration: May - August 2027

Schedule: Up to 40 hours/week

What You'll Do:

Assist Nursery Production and Growers with trimming, staking, and spacing

Inspect for pests and assist with pesticide applications

Manage water sources and help maintain plant health

Support grading of inventory Collaborate with senior staff on seasonal nursery tasks

Complete an individual intern project and present your results

Who We're Looking For:

Students in Horticulture, Biology, Natural Resources, Plant Science, Soil Science, Crop Science, Environmental Science, or related fields

Freshman through senior students enrolled in University
