Position Summary
Penda Aiken, Inc. is a staffing firm located in Brooklyn, New York. Our client is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide skilled nursing services within a state correctional facility in Stormville, NY.
This role provides direct bedside nursing care, medication administration, and specialized clinical treatments under the direction of an RN or physician. Candidates must have solid clinical skills, strict attention to patient monitoring, and adherence to facility protocols.
Primary Responsibilities
Medication & Bedside Care: Administer medications as directed and provide direct bedside nursing care, including procedures requiring sterile techniques.
Specialized Clinical Procedures: Perform specialized tasks such as catheterizations and suctioning; perform IV therapy and blood/blood product administration with appropriate training.
Patient Monitoring & Reporting: Observe, measure, record, and report indications of patient health status and vital signs to supervising clinical staff.
Clinical Compliance: Follow nursing procedures and documentation standards under the direction of an RN, physician, or authorized provider.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Valid and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of post-licensure work experience.
