Job Description

Adjunct faculty position teaching in clinical or laboratory courses working with undergraduate students in a BSN nursing program. Clinical lab teaching could include medical-surgical, mental health, public health, maternal health, and pediatric nursing, dependent on current needs of the program.

At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2, or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on the capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department.

What Youll Do

  • Teach in clinical settings per specialty area
  • Teach in the nursing skills and simulation labs
  • Evaluate students in clinical and/or skills, including performance exams
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance diversity and inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline
  • Attend scheduled teaching team meetings

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in specialty area
  • Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset

Education

  • Masters degree in Nursing
  • Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility
  • Clinical practice experience in specialty area

Compensation

We pay $1250 per credit hour for in-person courses.
