Job Summary and Qualifications Seeking a Nursing Administrator Nights for Methodist Hospital | Landmark ensures high-quality patient-centered care through direction and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift. The House Supervisor participates as an active member of the nursing management team and assumes authority to manage all activities and personnel in conjunction with and in the absence of hospital administration. What You Will Do In your role, you will:
• Accurately assess the needs of the Nursing Department and the patients served and facilitate obtaining ancillary services, response, and/or needed resources in situations affecting the optimal delivery of patient care. • Participate in and support the development and actualization of the Department of Nursings goals. • Assist in communicating the philosophy and expectation of the Department of Nursing. • Serve as a communication liaison between the administrator on-call and nursing management staff, patients, families, and visitors. • Provide on-site leadership, direction, and support for the operational management of patient service areas during designated shifts. • Monitor workload on patient care units and communicate observations to the appropriate shift charge coordinator and manager.
Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred. 1 year of experience in clinical practice Required. 3 years of experience in clinical practice Preferred.
