Adjunct faculty salary for the 2026-2027 fiscal year is $1,165.00- $1,189.00 per credit hour, as listed in the CBA (Download PDF reader).
South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks applications for Adjunct or Part-Time Faculty to teach in the Nursing Assistant (NA) program. We seek dedicated educators who are passionate about student success and committed to inclusive, innovative teaching that prepares students for the healthcare workforce.

Schedule information:
Clinical teaching assignments are scheduled on either Tuesdays and Wednesdays or Saturdays and Sundays and take place at area healthcare facilities, including Capital Medical Center, Mason General Hospital, and Providence St. Peter Hospital.
Qualifications You Possess
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years of professional experience in the subject area taught.
At least one (1) year within the past three (3) years of direct patient care experience with elderly individuals, chronically ill individuals of any age, or both.
Experience serving in a mentoring, precepting, clinical instruction, adjunct faculty, or leadership role with pre-certification nursing assistants, pre-licensure nursing students, and/or newly licensed graduate nurses.
Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Washington State, or eligibility for licensure in Washington State.
Ability to successfully complete a criminal history background check prior to employment.
Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to differences in sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender identity, age, socioeconomic status, physical ability, and learning styles, along with a demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning and working environment.

This pool is created for future part-time professor appointments to the indicated individual program or course. This announcement will serve as an open and continuous applicant pool. Appointment availability varies from quarter to quarter. The division will contact candidates selected from the pool should a vacancy arise.

Your paycheck is part of your total compensation package, with a benefits package worth about 30% of your salary.
