Posting Summary Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time Nursing Assistant for Southwoods State Prison located in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Nursing Assistant provides direct care to inmates under the direction of a Physician, Physicians Assistant, or a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Implements physician/associate practitioner orders within the scope of practice under the auspices of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with feeding, bathing, and other inmate activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed within the Health Service Unit.
• Assists the physician/associate practitioner with procedures as needed, including preparing the inmate for the examination.
• Assists with the cleaning, sterilization, and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
• Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.

FLSA: Nonexempt Grade: 137

Salary Details

• Minimum Salary: $20.410
• Mid Range Salary: $20.910
• Maximum Salary: $21.540

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
