This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching part-time in the Community & Workforce Training department. The pool will remain open until June 2027 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available.
This position's primary responsibility is to work with a Lead Instructor to provide quality and supportive instruction and assessments for nursing assistant students in a classroom, lab, learning center, and/or clinical site.
Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the dean of business and workforce development. May take direction from the Nursing Assistant Education Specialist and/or Lead Instructor.

Screening Criteria
Education: Must hold active, unencumbered RN license.
Only degrees received from an accredited institution will be accepted: accreditation must be recognized by the office of degree authorization, US Department of Education, as required by ORS 348.609. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for required degree.
Licenses and Certificates: For assignments requiring operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License and proof of an acceptable driving record are required. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).
Experience: Must have at least one year of LPN or RN experience.
Ability to: Ability to be "approved" by OSBN in the role of 'Clinical Teaching Associate" for Nursing Assistant programs

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, climb, balance, see, talk, hear, and manipulate objects. Physical duties required for this role are the same as the scope of practice for a certified nursing assistant. The position requires some mobility including the ability to move materials less than 5 pounds daily, 5-25 pounds occasionally, and 25-60 pounds rarely. This position requires both verbal and written communication abilities.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is primarily working indoors, within a classroom or office environment. The employee may also work within a long-term care facility, and/or acute care setting, and/or an affiliated high school campus, off campus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and lighting is adequate.

Pay rate based on the current Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule located on the RCC Human Resources Website unless noted otherwise in the job description.
Adjunct faculty are hired on a term-by-term basis and are not eligible for benefits.
