- Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Responsibilities:
- The Nursing Assistant provides essential, hands-on daily care to patients, working under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
- Provides basic nursing care to the patient.
- Assists nursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
- Accepts responsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
- Performs out of bed/back to bed as appropriate.
- Observes patient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient's condition to the licensed nurse.
- Responds to call light promptly and courteously.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient record.
- Assists patient in wheelchair, on stretcher, and ambulating.
- Monitors vital signs, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, and point of care testing.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of prior Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience.
- CNA certification.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
