The Nursing Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical support staff and the effective operation of multidisciplinary services in collaboration with Site Medical Director. The Supervisor will execute daily management systems to facilitate excellence in nursing practice (RN and/or MA), clinic operation, and patient flow, and provide support of provider practice and patient care to achieve optimal performance, efficiency, and service excellence in the following areas:
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Nursing standard of practice, performance improvement and quality outcomes
- Nursing recruitment and retention
- Nursing orientation and competencies
- Nursing education and workforce development
Responsibilities

- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, supervision, development, competency assessment and performance evaluation of non-LIP clinical staff with the collaboration of HR. Non-LIP clinical staff supervised may include medical assistants, registered nurses, or other clinic staff.
- Completes timecards and coordinates Paid Time-Off (PTO) requests for staff.
- Responsible for MA and/or RN staffing schedules to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Maintains strong visibility at site to supervise workflow in clinic. Provides clinical assistance where needed to overcome temporary workflow congestion. Provides RN support of provider practice and patient care to achieve optimal performance, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Accountable for maintaining adequate clinic inventory of medical supplies and biologics.
- Accountable for complete and timely follow up on patient incidents and complaints in MCC Safety Zone program.
- Responsible for the clinic's compliance with safety/infection control activities and documentation including refrigerator/freezer logs, instrument cleaning/QA, hand hygiene audits, eyewash station checks, monthly crash cart logs, and emergency drills.
- Must be willing and able to provide staffing support and backfill coverage at other MCC locations when operational needs require, including assisting with staffing shortages, schedule gaps, special projects, and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, FQHC, OSHA, HIPAA, CMS, FTCA and state regulations

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a healthcare setting. This role may occasionally come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is very active and requires standing, and/or walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee may need to lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.
Travel Requirements
Must be willing and able to travel regularly between all Minnesota Community Care (MCC) clinic and administrative locations as needed to support operational, clinical, and organizational priorities.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
- Current licensure as Registered Nurse in Minnesota required
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 5 years in an ambulatory primary care setting, FQHC or community clinic
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Bilingual in language(s) of target population: English/Spanish, English/Hmong, English/Somali, preferred
