Fair Oaks Health Care Center is currently seeking a highly organized, dependable Nursing Department Scheduler to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring proper staffing coverage, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with staffing regulations. This position works closely with nursing leadership and direct care staff to ensure smooth daily operation while keeping our five Core Values in mind. Hours for this position are Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm. JOB DESCRIPTION - Complete and post the monthly schedule by the 15th of the prior month
- Offer all open shifts to staff prior to posting to agency
- Maintain and update block schedule regularly
- Participate in rotating weekend on-call responsibilities
- Must be available to respond to schedule concerns promptly
- Attend daily morn
- meeting to review open shifts
- Maintain accurate daily staffing sheets and census hour tracking
- Post updated staffing hours daily at front entrance
- Update and communicate RN staffing levels to meet regulatory requirements
- Ensure all shifts are covered on a daily basis
- Work with DON to ensure all needed rental equipment is ordered for patient needs
- Log all rental equipment and maintain accurate inventory
- Must be present and assist with all meals on units
- Portrays and maintains a positive attitude and influence as a role model for the employees and other staff.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and DON regarding nursing assistant hiring needs, candidates, hiring and screening candidates and recruitment.
REQUIREMENTS - Must be an Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant for at least six months

- Must maintain an exceptional attendance record according to employee handbook guidelines.

- Must have self-initiative.
- This position may work up to 16 hours on the floor to support critical needs. (The DON and/or Administrator are responsible for this decision)
- Internal Candidates: No write-up or attendance issues in the last six months; must not have any current job probations; previous reviews must be within the expectations of the facility.
