Position SummaryWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead a high-performing emergency services team in a full-time, day-shift role at a 24/7 emergency care facility in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned nursing units.
The Nursing Director provides clinical leadership, ensures high-quality patient care, manages resource allocation, and upholds regulatory and clinical standards. This position assumes 24/7 accountability and is a key partner in supporting nursing excellence and operational efficiency across procedural and emergency service areas.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of assigned nursing departments and procedural units.
Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all designated areas.
Support the CNO in implementing hospital-wide initiatives and clinical best practices.
Mentor and manage nursing staff, fostering professional development and team engagement.
Monitor resource utilization, staffing, and departmental budgets to meet operational goals.
Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Lead or contribute to cross-functional improvement projects and patient care initiatives.
Participate in emergency preparedness planning and quality assurance programs.
Required Qualifications
Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (South Carolina or compact state).
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, with a Bachelors in a healthcare-related field or BSN.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment, such as Nurse Manager or Charge RN.
Demonstrated leadership skills, clinical knowledge, and operational expertise.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Masters degree in a healthcare-related field.
Additional certifications or leadership training in emergency services or procedural care.
