Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced
Nursing Director Womens Services for a direct hire opportunity in Fort Mill, SC. This leadership role supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and oversees nursing operations across assigned womens services areas, including
Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU.
The Nursing Director will maintain
24/7 responsibility for assigned areas and help ensure high-quality patient care, clinical staff competency, effective nursing practices, and appropriate resource management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and operational oversight for assigned nursing units.
- Support the CNO in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing services.
- Maintain 24/7 accountability for assigned clinical areas, including on-call availability.
- Promote safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care.
- Ensure clinical staff competency and adherence to nursing standards.
- Support effective staffing and resource management.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for professional nursing practice.
- Support departmental and organizational quality, safety, and operational goals.
Required Qualifications- Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school plus a bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field, OR a BSN.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience in a hospital environment as a manager, full-time charge nurse, or related leadership role.
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and/or NICU.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Strong nursing leadership, hospital operations, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications- MSN or masters degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Additional leadership experience within Womens Services, L&D, Mother/Baby, or NICU.
Compensation & Relocation- $95,000$175,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
- AIP bonus eligible.
