Nursing Director Pediatric Emergency Room

This Director will support both the emergency department and a mental health unit.

• Lead daily clinical operations and resource allocation for your specialty unit, ensuring a seamless environment where staff have the tools and support to provide exceptional patient care.

• Drive the development of departmental goals that bridge the gap between administrative excellence and ethical bedside practice, setting the standard for clinical quality.

• Champion service excellence by removing operational bottlenecks and streamlining workflows, directly improving the experience for both your nursing team and their patients.

• Nurture a high-performing clinical team through strategic hiring, mentorship, and professional development, fostering a culture of continuous growth and accountability.

• Optimize departmental financial health by managing budgets and resource utilization, ensuring the unit remains sustainable and well-equipped to meet community needs.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience required.
• 10 years of experience preferred.
• 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

• Previous ER leadership experience
• Director level experience preferred but open to strong, experienced managers
• Nursing certification (CEN, BCEN, etc.)
