    Position Summary:
    As the Nursing Director, you will serve as the department administrator, responsible for establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards. You will direct and supervise staff and workflow, with budgetary and fiscal accountability. This role requires 24/7 oversight of the Nursing department, supporting the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals while focusing on patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community. Key responsibilities include approving timekeeping, employee evaluations, regulatory compliance, supply orders, and strategic planning.

    Nursing staff

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
    • Preferred Education: MSN or master’s in a healthcare-related field.
    • Minimum Experience: Five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting, including three years of supervisory experience.

    Certifications and Licensure:

    • Required: Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
    • Preferred Certifications: Wound Care - WOCN; Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain an active and current registered nurse license.
    • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Exhibit proven leadership and hospital operational abilities.
    • Serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Required - Associate degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field; Preferred - MSN or master’s in a healthcare-related field.
    • Experience: Required - 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse.
    • Certifications: Required - Currently licensed or registered to practice as required by law, including CPR.
