Position: Nursing Home Administrator Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Home Administrator to lead operations at a skilled nursing facility providing both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. This role is ideal for a professional committed to delivering high-quality care in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including availability during off-hours and weekends as needed
Foster a culture aligned with organizational mission, values, and ethical standards
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and internal regulations and policies
Develop and implement quality improvement and performance initiatives (QAPI/QPPI)
Monitor clinical outcomes and quality indicators, and drive corrective actions when needed
Collaborate with medical leadership to ensure proper credentialing and compliance of practitioners
Promote and protect resident rights in all areas of care
Lead incident investigation, reporting, and follow-up processes
Manage recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to maintain optimal staffing levels
Oversee employee relations, including coaching, discipline, and termination processes
Ensure compliance with employment laws and workplace regulations
Monitor financial performance, including census, payer mix, and expense control
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, or equivalent leadership experience in a healthcare setting with completion of an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program
