    Job Summary:

    The Nursing Informatics Specialist must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, clinically integrated environment. This role requires flexibility to support clinical units across all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed during go-lives, trainings, or critical system updates. The specialist is expected to round regularly on inpatient units, provide timely support to frontline nurses, and respond promptly to informatics-related issues. Proficiency with standard office and clinical software is essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving healthcare technologies and organizational priorities. Strong customer service skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure are required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor''s degree in Nursing, NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) as a Registered Nurse, and a minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience. Candidate must have experience with healthcare IT platforms and solutions, and demonstrate a foundational understanding of electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation workflows.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master''s degree in Nursing Informatics or a related field (preferred, not required). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface and influence across all organizational levels. Proven interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation abilities. Experience with Epic EHR, Microsoft Office applications, and other healthcare technology platforms. Prior participation in system upgrades, workflow optimization projects, training initiatives, or clinical informatics committees is highly desirable.

    Work Days:

    Monday-Friday, days with occasional off shift to meet department needs
