Nursing Laboratory Technican Part-Time

Assist with organizing and cleaning the lab, stocking supplies, preparing for lab sessions, assisting during lab/simulations to reset scenarios, cleaning and organizing after lab session, and other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

60% - Nursing Lab and Simulation Preparation, Maintenance & Support

Prepares nursing laboratory and simulation spaces for scheduled classes, skills practice, and simulation activities. Assists with the setup and teardown of laboratory sessions, including preparing equipment, manikins, supplies, and instructional materials. Assists with resetting equipment, supplies, and simulation scenarios between student groups. Cleans and organizes laboratory spaces and equipment following scheduled activities; stocks and replenishes supplies; assists with inventory; and helps maintain equipment, supplies, and other laboratory resources. Follows established laboratory procedures and safe practices.

40% - Faculty, Staff, Student & Division Support

Works collaboratively with the Nursing Lab Supervisor, lab technicians, nursing faculty, staff, and students to support daily laboratory and simulation activities. Assists faculty and staff during labs and simulations as needed, including resetting and preparing spaces for student rotations. Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills to receive work direction and communicate laboratory needs. Provides general support to the Nursing Division as needed, including filing, organizing documents and materials, and assisting with routine clerical tasks. Maintains appropriate confidentiality and professional standards related to student learning. Performs other related duties as assigned.
