Summary

Summary:

The Nursing Practice Excellence Supervisor supports the daily operations of the Nursing Practice team at the hospital level, helping to uphold high‑quality nursing practices and consistent clinical standards across the organization. Working in partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and the Executive Director of Clinical Excellence, this role contributes to maintaining coordinated nursing practice activities at the entity level. This position promotes nursing practice excellence by applying evidence‑based practice (EBP) principles, supporting data‑informed decision‑making, and reinforcing standardized clinical practices that align with Sinai Hospital priorities. The Nursing Practice Excellence Supervisor works closely with entity‑based practice specialists and interdisciplinary partners to ensure strong clinical practices, regulatory readiness, and improved patient and nursing outcomes. In addition to these responsibilities, this is a working‑supervisor role that includes direct support and coverage for designated units or service lines. The Supervisor participates in hands‑on problem solving, assists with day‑to‑day operational needs, and supports frontline teams while maintaining alignment with broader clinical excellence expectations.

Experience:

Required:

5-7 YEARS

5-7 years in professional nursing practice with experience in data analytics, quality improvement, and/or evidence-based practice implementation. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Education:

Required:

Master of Science in Nursing

Preferred: Doctor of Nursing Practice

Licenses And Certification:

Required:

Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license

Basic Life Support

Preferred:

APRN-Clinical Nurse Specialist License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license

Specialty Certification (e.g., Nursing Professional Development, Clinical Nurse Leader, or Quality Improvement)

Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)

Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)
