Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides professional nursing care to patients through the nursing process; responsible for the assigned educational components.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements staff training, educational programs, and other AHNCI initiatives. (25%)
  • Serves as clinical liaison for QI/EBP initiatives, regulatory preparation, and EMR facilitation. (25%)
  • Precepts new hires to the AHNCI. (25%)
  • Provides expert direct nursing care to complex patients. (10%)
  • Contributes to the achievements of departmental, divisional, and organizational goals. (5%)
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills with collaborative feedback to clinical services. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor"s degree
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • CPR certification
  • 3 years of assigned clinical specialty area experience
  • 3 years of computer experience

Preferred

  • Master"s degree in Nursing Education
  • Nursing specialty certification
  • 3 years of education experience
