Nursing Quality Specialist - Billings NURSING QUALITY - 8781 (BILLINGS CLINIC HOSPITAL) req10062Shift: DayEmployment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt) Starting Wage DOE: $38.96 - 48.71Nursing Quality Specialist is a position within the Nursing Quality - Patient Impact Team (PIT) Department of Billings Clinic. The Nursing Quality Specialist serves as a subject matter expert regarding nursing quality indicators and outcomes of care. The subject matters include fall prevention, pressure injury prevention as well as CAUTI and CLABSI prevention. The Nursing Quality Specialist provides consultative services focused on providing the highest quality and safest care to patients while decreasing risk to the patient. Scope of work includes acute care hospital, ambulatory clinics, branch clinic locations, ambulatory surgery center, and fully owned facilities. Scope may include affiliated regional facilities based upon the needs of the organization and the availability of Nursing Quality. The position reports to the manager of Nursing Quality and assumes responsibility for one or more of the of the following functions:Nursing quality measures, Quality improvement projects, Data collection and data sharing of nurse quality indicators, Oversight of in-depth chart reviews, Partners with current teams, committees, and councils as well as creating any additional committee or task force needed to address issues, Researches, utilizes, and executes evidence-based practices into nursing culture, Creates age-appropriate education and coordinates with Center for Education and Development to meet all educational needs, Conducts rounding on units to assist in data collection, collaboration, and provide real-time education to team members.Essential Job Functions* Serves as a subject matter expert and source of clinical expertise in nursing quality indicators and measurement of outcomes of care. * Assists the Director in the development of organization-wide quality policies and procedures. * Participates in both short and long-term planning for the department. * Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development in collaboration with the Manager of Nursing Quality - PIT.
