Job Title: Nursing Scheduler

Location: Bethany Home – Brandon, SD
Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Certification: CNA Required

At Bethany, we are caring people, caring for people. We are looking for an organized, dependable, and people-focused Nursing Scheduler to join our nursing team in Brandon.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNA who understands the realities of nursing-floor staffing but is ready to use their healthcare experience in a different way. The Nursing Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring our nursing neighborhoods have the right staff in place to provide excellent care to our residents.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain nursing staff schedules to ensure appropriate daily coverage
• Prepare schedules in advance while considering staffing needs, resident care, overtime, and budget expectations
• Serve as the primary contact for nursing call-ins and scheduling concerns during business hours
• Work quickly to find coverage when unexpected staffing needs arise
• Coordinate PTO requests, shift trades, and employee availability
• Maintain a calendar of nursing staff absences and time-off requests
• Monitor attendance and scheduling patterns and communicate concerns to nursing leadership
• Prepare and maintain daily staffing/door sheets
• Maintain accurate employee scheduling records and contact information
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing and nursing leadership regarding current and anticipated staffing needs
• Assist nursing leadership with staffing challenges and schedule changes
• Help ensure nursing staff receive required breaks
• Provide floor coverage when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
