Job Duties:
- Tutor nursing students in person or online using Microsoft Teams.
- Provide nursing students supplemental assistance in the area of need. For example, guide nursing students who are working in a group toward successful response to exam type questions, assist nursing students to critically evaluate a case study scenario and make sound clinical judgments - using tools and resources provided by nursing faculty.
- Utilize technology and online resources effectively to enhance the student experience.
- Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Education Specialist and nursing faculty to ensure the needs of students are met.
- Communicate with the Teaching and Learning Education Specialist and nursing faculty to develop a schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- Current, active, unencumbered licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (Kentucky licensure or compact state licensure with multi-state privileges) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher is preferred.
Additional Skills Requested:
- Strong MS Office Suites experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- Strong problem-solving skills. Able to manage various issues and suggest new solutions to supervisor or others in handling unusual problems.
