Essential FunctionsOperate equipment and perform minor to moderate machine set-ups as required.Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.Perform the duties required to record data.Perform minor machine maintenance.Perform work using micrometers, calipers, gages, comparators, wrenches and other generaltools and equipment.Move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.Adhere to all safety rules and policies.Practice good housekeeping.Label portable containers.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills & AbilitiesAbility to use all gages and gauging techniques.Ability to operate equipment and perform minor machine set-ups.Ability to meet production and quality standards.Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operatordocumentation.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to identify routine problems and correct routine problems.Use math skills for blue print reading.Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements toperform basic and repetitive work assignments.Possess good written and verbal communication skills.Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines andpractices.Problem solving and troubleshooting skills and experience.

EducationHigh school diploma or GED a plus, but not required.

ExperienceMinimum one year experience in related field, preferred, but not required.Experience operating manufacturing and forklift equipment preferred.

Physical Demands Standing and walking required to perform machine setup and operation, material handling, and data recording.Sitting may be required to perform some machine operation and data recording.Gripping, handling fine finger movements are required for machine setup and operation, mechanical adjustments, gauging of parts, housekeeping, and control switch operation.Reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are physical requirements associated with setting up and operating equipment.Talking and hearing may be necessary to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors, as well as to hear alarms, pages, and machine noises.
