Job Summary:
Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, e.g., menu selections and corrections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery, Opening and closing the kitchen as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Health care experience involving food services or 2 years of experience in service industry preferred.
- Good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete simple computational skills.
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred with the ability to train new hires.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must.
- Some bending, lifting, pushing and pulling required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospitals admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records.
- Must possess ServSafe Certification.
- Ability to open/close kitchen keeping safety a top priority.
- Must possess the ability to lead by example.
- Must have zero corrective action during the previous 12 months.
