Role Overview

 

Sodexo is seeking a highly organized and motivated Nutrition Database Specialist to join our team at Millard Public Schools in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or a related field who is looking to grow their career. The successful candidate will balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and provide nutrition, operational, and administrative support across the region. This position will also oversee kitchen operations and frontline employees to ensure compliance with company standards and USDA Child Nutrition Program requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Sodexo's K-12 Registered Dietitians in the West Region of the United States;
  • Provide support regarding the proper implementation of Sodexo operating standards and procedures,
  • Be responsible for writing menus in Sodexo’s PrimeroEdge Nutrition Platform following USDA standards;
  • Support units in troubleshooting technology issues with Sodexo’s marketing platforms, PrimeroEdge and The Market Connection;
  • Support Senior Manager of Nutrition Systems in developing sales menus; and/or function as the regional Supply Management Coordinator for the region.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Programs, menu planning, and school nutrition regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and lead frontline teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
